..

Photo of G, Aa and me with my shine new and very fancy Blackberry.
I am slightly IN LOVE with it.

I admit. I am the worse blogger ever.  though I stay away from NY resolutions I will promise to update this more. My excuse? This past month has been a blur. no time.. no time..

Off to a meeting about another book. how crazy is that?

Happy New Years!

Thursday, December 04, 2008

I have donated a photograph to Photo a go go. There a lot of good images this year. I especially like the one of Obama.  Not 100% crazy about how my image came out. I had it printed from a file rather than doing it myself.  you live you learn.

I must admit, I have serious blackberry envy.

last night

Max as Frodo. notice the bare feet.  He insisted that he must stay in costume and walked around town all night like this.  Ignoring the protests of his mother.

Aaron learned that creating fear does work very well. People were giving him extra candy just to go away.

We all know that G is truly his mummy's boy.

Be wary if this plumber shows up at your door.

Part of Aidan's Halloween gang. Notice Bobby as Sarah P. He was hilarious!  K was McCain but he wasn't here when i took this photo.

OMG

I had to post these... Luckily Frodo aka Max returned with far less loot.

Karin posted this. heartbreaking.

this time last year....

Aaron, my mom and I were hanging on  corners in Venice

Aaron was playing a sort of hopscotch game

Aaron was so inspired he was drawing everywhere (he was leaning his pad of paper against that wall)

Here are some images from Karin's 30th b'day party. We had to drive back to Maine before the party got going but we had a great time.

This is interesting.  Go to the links right above the map to see what the results were in past years.

I have been a lousy blogger lately.  sorry.

Chris and I celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary, went out to our favorite restaurant, The Green Elephant,  then to watch the debate in a bar.  I know that sounds goofy but it was really fun.

other big birthday news...  Ziggy turned 3 yesterday !!

Happy Birthday little Z

From the MANITOBA HERALD, Canada

A flood of American liberals sneaking across the border into Canada has intensified in the past week, sparking calls for increased patrols to stop the illegal immigration. The possibility of a McCain/Palin election is prompting the exodus among left-leaning citizens who fear they'll soon be required to hunt, pray, and agree with Bill O'Reilly.

Canadian border farmers say it's not uncommon to see dozens of sociology professors, animal rights activists and Unitarians crossing their fields at night."

I went out to milk the cows the other day, and there was a Hollywood producer huddled in the barn," said Manitoba farmer Red Greenfield, whose acreage borders North Dakota . The producer was cold, exhausted and hungry. He asked me if I could spare a latte and some free-range chicken. When I said I didn't have any, he left. Didn't even get a chance to show him my screenplay, eh?

In an effort to stop the illegal aliens, Greenfield erected higher fences, but the liberals scaled them. So he tried installing speakers that blare Rush Limbaugh across the fields. "Not real effective," he said. "The liberals still got through, and Rush annoyed the cows so much they wouldn't give milk."

Officials are particularly concerned about smugglers who meet liberals near the Canadian border, pack them into Volvo station wagons, drive them across the border and leave them to fend for themselves. "A lot of these people are not prepared for rugged conditions," an Ontario border patrolman said. "I found one carload without a drop of drinking water. "They did have a nice little Napa Valley cabernet, though."

When liberals are caught, they're sent back across the border, often wailing loudly that they fear retribution from conservatives. Rumors have been circulating about the McCain administration establishing re-education camps in which liberals will be forced to shoot wolves from airplanes, deny evolution, and act out drills preparing them for the Rapture.

In recent days, liberals have turned to sometimes-ingenious ways of crossing the border. Some have taken to posing as senior citizens on bus trips to buy cheap Canadian prescription drugs. After catching a half-dozen young vegans disguised in powdered wigs, Canadian immigration authorities began stopping buses and quizzing the supposed senior-citizen passengers on Perry Como and Rosemary Clooney hits to prove they were alive in the '50s."

If they can't identify the accordion player on The Lawrence Welk Show, we get suspicious about their age," an official said.Canadian citizens have complained that the illegal immigrants are creating an organic-broccoli shortage and renting all the good Susan Sarandon movies."I feel sorry for American liberals, but the Canadian economy just can't support them," an Ottawa resident said.

"How many art-history and English majors does one country need, Eh?

Happy Birthday Karin!!!!

30

I think that Karin turning 30 is stranger than even Max being 15. I really liked my 30's. It was a good time. Like Good Times.

Totally unrelated but I'm thinking of the theme to Good Times. Here are the lyrics. Sing along with me. To Karin... A new tradition... when you turn 30, people sing you Good Times instead of happy Birthday.

I want to miss the rain

Aidan reminded me this morning about how when he was a little and wanted something to go away, he would tell me that he wanted to miss it. Remembering that along with the fact he woudl proudly tell me naughty things he did not do,  like pee on the curtains make me think  he has a very funny brain.

We are having a lazy rain day.  zzzzzz........

Something to keep in mind.

Wednesday, September 24, 2008

finally....

I finally watched the Sex and The City movie. Really liked it. I was surprised since i heard such  tepid reviews from people... maybe my expectations were lowered.  How the relationships ended  seemed right.  Not perfect... but real.

I want to watch again.

On another exciting note... Liz lent me a sewing machine. And taught me how to use it. I am thinking I want to make a skirt and duvet covers. I wish I time to start on things right now. Thanks Liz!!

Max finds this and this to be highly amusing. I agree.

funny faces

Need I say more....

Wednesday, September 17, 2008

Last night Max and I went to his open house. I am so very happy he is at PHS. So impressed by the teachers, principal, atmosphere.  Also, he was very helpful... there were so many stairs to climb. ouch. I ended up taking a painkillers before the walk home.  I took drugs in school.

I am really wanting to make a skirt. by hand. Last time I attempted such a feat Chris ended up with a lopsided pillowcase. I am determined to try though. This is inspired by all those design shows I watched this weekend. Now I must figure out how.

Monday, September 15, 2008

What a weekend.
My surgery went well. painful but got lot's of help. THANK YOU MOM!!  I think you made a great football grandma.

Max... not much to say about his shoulder besides he is in pain. On Wednesday he will see an orthopedic specialist. hoping he will not need surgery.

I think I may have watched more tv during these past 2 days than I have in months. Lot's of project runway, top design and even a lifetime movie about CoCo Chanel. Some movies too. I forget though. Mom? oh... Aidan and I watched The Shining on Friday night. such a good scary movie.

some pretty crazy stuff going on in the political arena. I am a bit worn down on that front. not sure if I can make it until the election. Did see Tina Fey as Palin. how perfect was that?

my boy

Aidan is 13 today.

Yesterday he warned us that as of today, he would become incredibly difficult. and know everything.

I'll keep ya posted on this but thus far... he is as sweet as ever.

Here he is

Noah Asher!!

our new baby

has been named, Noah Escher Chateauneuf . I do not have photo's yet. I hear he is beautiful (of course!). Sammy is acting as the proud big brother, checking his heart and belly with his stethoscope. Little Ziggy is ignoring him.

in other news. My most curious one broke his tooth the other day. while looking at a light bulb. go figure.. luckily, he caught the other part of his tooth and his dentist was able to reattach it.

He's here!

not sure of his name yet. Maybe Noah... was born, 10:36!!

what make me grumpy

when i come home from work @ midnight and someone is parked in my parking spot
People...  do not park in other peoples parking spots. seriously. Now I am parked at the post, hoping I  do not get towed.

 turning 40
I know that was really almost a year ago but it's just hitting me now. for the first   time in my life, I am age conscious.

delicate camera's
why would a $1700.00 camera be so easy to break? why $200.00 to fix?
  why??!!!

state inspections
does all that stuff really matter?
is  my car safe to drive around my children? yes.
polluting more than another car of it's type? no.
then what the $&!*.... let me drive my crappy car and put that $700.00 to better use.

rain
rain is nice.
rain has it's benefits.
but please... enough is enough. no more rain for a while.  please. no more muddy little boys. no more driving somewhere we can walk. no more closed windows on summer days. rain should only happen on days I wish to watch movies

Atonement (the movie)
i loved it. it really only makes me grumpy because I want to see it again. now. but cannot since it's 12:38 and I do not have it. Also, why is K. Knightly throwing herself at my sisters boyfriend? she has no shame.

Mail
why must I only get bills. Or requests for money. Oh arts foundations... how I would love to support you. Shiny showy advertisements, stop trying to taunt me.... I am wise to your wicked ways... no matter how many %'s off you offer me.
how about some invites to parties of people I like. or good news from afar. checks would be nice too. no bills. please. I am full. thanks.

At Papa's house before the big game. We had a great time. Aidan loved the game but beating Papa and Judy at scrabble may have been the highlight. Seeing Varitek up close and seeing Ortiz steal a base came in a close second i'm sure.

Chris doing his best impression of a daddy duck

all my boys playing cards @ Echo Lake.

sweet little family. Little ? still snug in his mommy. not quite ready to join us yet.

Sammy about to ask a question. one of is many questions. he is so very curious about everything around him!!!

this is how Ziggy listen to Susie and Banshee's Peeka Boo! He and Sammy kept asking for Joelle to play it. they'd hold hands then when it came on Z would cover his face. then sing!

Ari and Big Papi

It really was pretty cool to have Big Papi in Portland

some of his biggest fans were there

but really... it was the little guy at the end of the line who stole our hearts.

Here you can see him watching. he is to the right of the dugout wearing a batting helmet

and here is doing his best to ignore the giant man walking by him. He like to keep it cool.

When ever he ran onto the field the crowd went nuts. at least our row and a bunch of his friends who were at the game.

we now know for sure that nobody picks up bats and delivers ball like my boy he's a true SUPERSTAR

Tuesday, July 29, 2008

I will eventually post photo's of the Ari/Ortiz game. i have having some camera problems. problems meaning it is broken and I have to send it to Nikon to be fixed. mildly stressful.

I am sure I have more to report. but not now.... it's 12:20am.. I can't sleep but not awake enough to think.

night

Unbelievable

when in Hannafords I entered Aidan, Ari and G in a contest to be the bat boy for the Sea Dogs.

Well... this evening we heard that Aaron won. He will be the bat boy for the Sea Dogs on Tuesday.  A NIGHT BIG PAPI IS PLAYING!!!

this is so very big.

How awesome is this

And today's downer is.....

Trader Joes = German Walmart. It's owned by Aldi Group .

On a brighter note... Ari is spreading his love of origami. I picked him up from his metalsmith camp yesterday and saw kids walking out with origami pieces. He was giving mini lessons.

sad bowe boys

David Ortiz is playing in Portland on the 21st, 22nd and 23rd of July. I just tried to get my boys tickets but they are already sold out. sadness....

Here is a photo of Aidan's all-star jersey.

I had a dream I was pushing a chunky little baby girl in a swing. she was so very cute... I was play biting her knees to make her laugh. Joelle's baby (Benji) is due in 3 weeks but the ultrasound said boy. odd....

emmy + john 4-eva

Doesn't J.T. look like he is about to tell nick and roger that he is leaving the band for the love of  his life.  See, He has been searching ever since he saw a glimpse of her at a concert in New England. And to think he finally found her in Florence Italy. What a world!

Thursday, June 26, 2008

Now that my mother has quit her job at whole foods I can say how much I hate that store. Not that I never go there. I do, because I have no other choice.

phew.. that feels better.  thanks.

G's birthday went well. He was so surprised!!

Wednesday, June 25, 2008

Hi Dad!!

So... Today we are having G's (ssshhhh) surprise birthday party. He thinks it's on Sunday. So very exciting. Here's the plan. Chris is going to bring him to pick up Aidan from camp while I meet his friends @ the park. Can't wait to see his face. The only tricky part is baking his cake choice, pineapple upside down cake, without him getting suspicious.

I'll let ya know how it goes.

Happy Birthday G!!!!

Wednesday, June 04, 2008

Here are some images from Venice & Murano from my Holga.

In typical film fashion I waited 8 months to develop.
I wanted to take a photo of Max walking into this first college class last night. Of course it would have embarrassed him beyond repair so I didn't. I will say I got a little choked up.
We are all very excited round here about Obama. Also very annoyed with Hillary but I won't go there.

you need to know this

Mercury is in Retrograde for the first 3 weeks of June. It is not wise to spend large sums of money, sign a contract or give verbal agreement to any important new venture. Do not try to speed things up or force matters. Be patient- if there are delays, let them happen.

Saturday, May 31, 2008

it's been a crazy week. I am 3 jobs under so I havent' had time to edit any wedding photographs
but here are a few that will give you an idea about Dad and Judy's day.
Love

Beauty

yikes..okay I lied.. there are just two photo's. I added the wrong images and need to get to baseball. will fix later.

Tonight my friend Karen and I are shooting a local Prom. She has all sorts of fun/tacky old prom dresses for us to wear!
